听力原文:W: How was the concert tour in Europe?
M: It was great. It was a real pleasure.
W: How did you feel on stage? Is there a difference between making a film and playing music?
M: Basically communicating with the same kind of people. The only difference is just being on the stage instead of being on screen. I believe the same people who like my films were in our concert. Even in different countries, I could feel the same all the time, like you are meeting somebody whom you already know.
W: What do you enjoy about playing music?
M: It is much more relaxed compared with the film making. Making a film is like being an architect and a constructor at the same time. But making music is just being an architect. It's also an amazing feeling.
W: I've heard you planned to have a concert in New York.
M: At this moment, I've stopped playing music for preparing the next film. So we won't go to New York this year, maybe next year ... I don't know yet ... maybe after the film is done ... but we're still in discussion.
W: For each film, how long does it take you for preparation?
M: At least 3 years.
Which of the following is NOT true about the man's view on making a film and playing music?
A.Just like making a film, making music is an amazing feeling.
B.Playing music is much more relaxed than making a film.
C.Basically they communicate with different kinds of people.
D.Being on the stage is different from being on screen.

The ideal companion machine-the computer- would not only look, feel, and sound friendly but would also be programmed to behave in a pleasant manner. Those qualities that make interaction comfortable, and yet the machine would remain slightly unpredictable and therefore interesting. In its first encounter it might be somewhat hesitant, but as it came to know the user it would progress to a more relaxed and intimate style. The machine would not be a passive participant but would add its own suggestions, information, and opinions; it would sometimes take the initiative in developing or changing the topic and would have a personality of its own.
Friendships are not made in a day, and the computer would be more acceptable as a friend if it imitated the gradual changes that occur when one person is getting to know another. At an appropriate time it might also express the kind of affection that stimulates attachment and intimacy. The whole process would be accomplished in a subtle way to avoid giving an impression of over-familiarity that would be likely to produce irritation. After experiencing a wealth of powerful, well-timed friendship indicators, the user would be very likely to accept the computer as far more than a machine and might well come to regard it as a friend.
An artificial relationship of this type would provide many of the benefits that could continue from previous discussions. It would have a familiarity with the user’s life as revealed in earlier contact, and it would be understanding and good-humored. The computer’s own personality would be lively and impressive, and it would develop in response to that of the user. With features such as these, the machine might indeed become a very attractive social partner.
96.which of the following is not a feature of the ideal companion machine?
A:Active in communication
B: Attractive in personality.
C: enjoyable in performance
D: unpredictable in behaviour

For many of us, the concept of family is a lot narrower than it used to be. Today children go away to college, and take up careers wherever opportunity seems greatest. So instead of growing up in an extended family, with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins involved in our day-to-day lives, many of us are truly con- netted only to our parents and siblings. Many kids today knew little of the lives of relatives outside the nuclear family, and don't care deeply about them.
Whether we're aware of it or not, this estrangement creates a void. "People have an inherent need to feel connected, "says Joy Browne, a psychologist and talkshow host in the U.S. "And they'll do it in whatever ways are easiest for them. "When family members are distant, what could be easier than .forming a connection to celebrities--especially glamorous ,public-spirited ones like the Kennedys".
This sort of false intimacy isn't new, of course. People wept when Rudolph Valentime died in 1926 and when the Lindberghs lost their baby in 1932. It's natural and in most ways harmless to identify with the famous. But todays combination of busy lives, fragmented families' and saturation media coverage of celebrities means this is the only intimacy many of us experience outside our immediate family. And that's unhealthy, because these celebrity relationships are not two way.
For that, we need to stay connected to our own families. We'll never turn back the clock to keep families from scattering. But parents can help by telling their kids stories about their grandparents, aunts and cousins, and by keeping the relatives informed of the kids' latest activities and interests.
Technology can encourage more frequent, more casual contact. It's no chore to dash off an email to Granddad.
Better yet, take a vacation with members of your extended family--and not at anyone's home. A week or so of relaxed interaction can be a great way to turn up family ties. And when tragedy happens, there's no substitute for family. Because no matter how much we cry for the Kennedys, they can't be there to cry for US.
Thank you for today's program. Now let's listen to a song.

听力原文: Researchers have found that "cool" colors, such as blues and greens, can make us feel calm and relaxed. Blue and green surroundings can also lower blood pressure, pulse rate, and breathing rate. "Warm" colors, such as reds, yellows, and oranges, affect us differently than "cool" colors do. "Warm" colors can actually make us feel warmer and excited. They stimulate heartbeat, raise blood pressure, and quicken breathing.
Yellow, a bright, sunny color, often makes people feel happy and more active. Yet it makes some people feel hot and restless. Red often makes people feel energetic. But not everyone feels good wearing red.
If some colors can make us feel better, might certain colors also help us think better? According to a 3-year study in Germany, the answer seems to be yes. Scientists studied how various colors affect school children. And they found that certain colors could raise I. Q. as much as 12 points. In the experiment, rooms with low ceilings were painted in different colors. The more popular colors were light blue, yellow, yellow-green, and orange. Less popular colors such as white, black, and brown Caused a drop in I. Q. The study found that the color orange in particular improved social behavior, cheered up children's spirits and made them feel less hostile and irritable.
Do people's color preferences tell us anything about their personalities? Some researchers think they do. According to these researchers, people who are more out-going usually prefer "warm" colors. people who are quieter, less people-oriented, often prefer "cool" colors.
If you live in a room painted light blue, you may feel ______.
A.happy and energetic
B.warm and excited
C.calm and relaxed
D.hot and restless
Stress at Work and Still Healthy
The term could yet become the word of the year: stress is on everyone's lips these days and everywhere. Not only managers, officials and teachers are complaining nowadays, housewives, children and pensioners now also have their own problems. They too sacrifice themselves for others, feel under- or overworked and quickly lose their inner balance. Irritation, tiredness and exhaustion quickly follow. But that is only the negative aspect. Stress, after all, is also linked to positive terms such as joy of life, tension and vitality (活力).
"Firstly, stress is healthy," says Wolfgang Stehling from EItvelle. The doctor and management consultant says: "It occurs when the body loses its inner balance, but then stress hormones are produced to re-establish the balance." Thus stress is nothing more than a positive reaction of the body to pressure. It is unavoidable as part of our nature: "There is no such thing as a stress-free life."
But whether stress leads to tensions in the mind or to tenseness of the muscles depends on the duration (持续时间), its cause or causes and the sufferer's personal situation. People who have trouble sleeping or suffer from bad moods or simply the flu will not be on top of the world and will take every little strife as negative stress. Others, people who feel refreshed at every new turn, are relaxed and successful, will view a difficult round of negotiations or competition at work more as a positive challenge than a cross to bear.
Exercise, healthy eating and relaxation are thus the three pillars by which stress can be conquered almost every time. These factors form. a unit, explains Marita Voelker-Albert, spokeswoman for the government's Nutrition Advice Center in Cologne. Its campaign "Gut Drauf" (Feeling Good) is targeted at young people. The government agency's research suggests that three out of four adolescents feel tired, overtaxed (负担过重) and under stress. Eating disorders and complaints such as migraines (偏头痛) and indigestion (消化不良), nervousness and concentration problems have increased among 12- to 16-year-olds.
But even the best solutions don't work if they are not put into practice, says Stehling. Anybody who goes jogging regularly, practices yoga (瑜伽功) and prescribes good literature as a cure for negative stress, may well end up under more pressure as he tries to find the time for it all. Sometimes, says the consultant, it helps to take time out to reduce stress levels over a weekend.
Which of the following is NOT a correct view on stress?
A.Stress has both positive and negative aspects.
B.Stress is only a positive reaction of the body to pressure.
C.Stress is unavoidable as part of our nature.
D.Stress only leads to serious problems.
