听力原文: Cigarettes are big business, especially in the eastern state of Kentucky, where about 30 percent of adults and more than a third of young people smoke. According to the Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids, the tobacco industry spends roughly 76 million dollars a year to market their products in the state. That money buys advertisements to keep current smokers, encourage them to try new brands or to grab the attention of new potential smokers. Health advocates say cigarette makers must lure 3,000 new smokers to the habit each day and many of them are young people.
