As any working mum can tell you, running a business and a family at the same time is an al

most impossible act. There are never enough hours in the day and most days spill well into the late evening hours. My story starts with a simple red bump (小包)on my back. Turns out, the bump was actually skin cancer! The diagnosis hit me like a ton of bricks. I was in my mid-20s and living a very healthy life. Cancer at that point was unimaginable. And, yet, it was all too true. After crying and crying for days, I finally decided to do something positive about my skin cancer diagnosis. After researching, I knew scientists had found that UV(紫外线)exposure as a child leads to skin cancer later in life—especially for fair skinned people—and I did not want my children to suffer the same fate. So, I decided to quit my job and start my own business. Thus was born SwimZip swimwear—stylish swimsuits with protection that block 99% of those nasty cancer causing UV rays. These cute, sun protective clothes can actually save lives! The choice to follow my passion and help prevent children from getting skin cancer was an easy one, but turning that passion into a successful business, while being a full-time mum, was a whole different story. Being a mum and business owner has been very difficult. I often feel like I cannot ever give as much energy to parenting or working as I would like. After several busy work days, I know I have to take a break, leave the phone at home, and just go out and give 100% to my child. Of course, by the time I get back to being CEO, the "to-do" list has grown enormous again.Late (late, late, late!)nights are the norm. Starting a business from the ground up, and while parenting full time, has been an enormous challenge.

The author is all the following EXCEPT ______.

A.a business woman

B.a full-time parent

C.a sufferer of skin cancer

D.a swim wear model

听力原文:W: How are you feeling now?

M: Not too well yet. My ribs still hurt every time I breathe.

W: What about your leg?

M: Actually, that doesn't hurt too much any more.

W: Well, I'm glad you're OK. How did it happen anyway?

M: Oh, I was checking some work on the second storey and, well, somehow I slipped and fell. The next thing I was in the hospital.

W: You're lucky you weren't killed.

M: Yeah, I know, but...

W: Have you talked to Mum and Dad yet?

M: Maggie called them last night. I only talked to them for a couple of minutes.

W: What did they say?

W: I can imagine. Well, how long do you think you'll have to stay in the hospital?

M: I don't know yet. Not too long, I hope. But I'm sure I'll be on crutcbes for a while. The doctor said I'll have to a cast for at least eight weeks. Anyway, what's the news with you?

W: Good morning, Mr. Brown.

M: Oh, come in, Mary. I've been expecting you. Take a seat.

W: Thanks.

M: And what can 1 do for you?

W: Well,I was thinking about taking a year off after we finish school this summer, and I wanted some advice.

M: I see. You mean putting off going to university for a year?

W: That's right. I've been offered a place at London University, but what I'd really like to do is taking a year out first—doing something different, maybe going abroad.

M: So were you thinking of getting some sort of job, or traveling around? I mean, is your main aim to earn some money, or to do something else? Or do you want to do a bit of both?

W: I'd really like to travel—but I don't have any money. But I've heard of an organization called Peterson International—and that's what I want to ask you about. Do you know anything about it?

M: Sure. It's a charity and it's aimed very much at young people like you, and what they do is to get teams of young people to work together on various projects all over the world-environmental projects, community projects, that sort of thing.

W: Mum, it sounds great. Is it just English people on the projects?

M: No, they're international teams. You'd be working with quite a variety of people
