Therefore a photographer will be coming in this Friday at 9 o'clock and will be photographing each department successively while you are busy at work. Your supervisors have already made a schedule of when you are to meet with the photographer on Friday morning. Please keep in mind that you should not wear anything that may be too reflective, such as gold bands, hairpins, or earrings. Thank you.

L:Oh, I am tired, Peter.
P:Lucy, what about having a coffee?
L:You are a clever boy. That’s just what I want. But I will not go to that horrid little cafe in Part Street.
P:There’s a new cafe, just opened in the High Street. It looks very nice; here it is, "Susan’s Kitchen".
L: Oh, this is nice. I do like those bright-coloured table-cloths and these fresh flowers on the table.
P: Look, who is bringing in the coffee-cups. It’s Susan, who used to be with Mrs. Brown.
S: Good afternoon, Sir. Good afternoon, Lucy. It’s nice of you to come to our cafe.
L: Susan, you have furnished your cafe prettily. You must have worked very hard.
S :Oh yes, we did work hard. Joe, my husband, fitted up the shelves and the electric lighting. But of course, you haven’t met my husband, Joe.
L: But I have met him. He works at Bradshaw’s garage where I keep my car. He’s the best mechanic they have.
S: Thank you. Joe will be very pleased when I tell him; and though I say it myself, he is a good mechanic. And now I want you to try our coffee. I think you' ll like it.

听力原文: Sekou Coumbassa is a diplomat who represents one of the new African nations. At present he is working on special assignment to his country's embassy in Washington. Like many African diplomats, he is very young--only twenty-eight years old. Before coming to Washington, he had had a year of diplomatic experience in another African country and then one more year in Paris. Sekou speaks two African languages. In addition, he speaks French fluently because it is the language used in the secondary schools in his country. He also studied English when he was in school. When he first came to Washington, his English was stiff and formal. It sounded like English that had been learned from a book. Sekou has an aptitude for language, however, it was one of the reasons he became a diplomat. After six months in Washington, he had become fluent in English. Sekou is in charge of cultural affairs for the embassy. The ambassador that Sekou works for is quite impressed with his work and has recommended him highly to the government at home. Sekou is very happy, he hopes to be an ambassador himself some day in the future.

听力原文: The importer will require a full set of bills of lading in order to obtain the goods from overseas port. The bills of lading can only be obtained by payment of the bill of exchange (D/P) , or by acceptance (D/A). Therefore, the importer cannot obtain the goods without paying or accepting the bill of exchange, and conversely an exporter retains control of the goods until payment or acceptance of bill of exchange. When goods are sent by air, the airway bill could show the importer's bank as consignee. Once again the importer must pay or accept a bill of exchange to be able to obtain the goods. Once the importer has paid or accepted the bill of exchange, the importer's bank will issue a delivery order. The delivery order is an authority, signed on behalf of the bank, authorizing the airport to release the goods to the named importer.
